It is unethicall  and illegal because you are just taking advantage of your work or whatever you are doing. Like if you take a lunch break or you are getting to work like thirty minuets late you are just taking advantage cuz maybe  the manger is busy and do not have time to check if your early or late. you should be honest even thou you are not being watched.
