I think you should be honest and no lie because like if you do a project or something else that can require two people  and one partner dose all the work and the other dose not maybe the one that did not do the work he might take credit . So maybe if you tell the truth that the other person did all the work and he/she might not get in that much trouble or they might ask you to do another one project something else to make up for that grade.
